In 1996, Ronu Majumdar collaborated with George Harrison and Ravi Shankar for the recording of the album Chants of India. Produced by Harrison, the sessions took place between January and August 1996 in two primary locations: Madras (now Chennai), India, and Harrison's home studio, FPSHOT, at Friar Park in Henley-on-Thames, UK
